Baby Bracket (“Baby Bracket,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile application that lets families and friends create private groups, make predictions about a child’s milestones, record actual milestone results, and share the experience with invited participants.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Baby Bracket collects, how that information is used and stored, and the choices available to you when you use the Baby Bracket app and related services.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide when you create an account and use Baby Bracket. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

• Your email address and account information.
• Your username or display name.
• A profile photo, if you choose to provide one.
• Names, photos, birth information, family names, and other information you enter when creating or managing a Baby Bracket.
• Predictions you make about milestones.
• Actual milestone results entered by an organizer.
• Information relating to bracket invitations and membership.
• Other information you voluntarily enter into the app.

Information About Children

Baby Bracket allows an adult user to enter information about a child for the purpose of creating a family prediction bracket. This information may include the child’s name, photograph, date of birth or expected birth date, birth measurements, and milestone information.

Children do not create Baby Bracket accounts or directly use the service as account holders. The adult who creates or manages a bracket is responsible for ensuring that they have the authority and any necessary permission to provide information or photographs relating to a child.

How We Use Information

We use the information collected through Baby Bracket to operate and provide the app’s features. This includes using information to:

• Create and maintain your account.
• Create and manage brackets.
• Allow invited family members and friends to participate in brackets.
• Store predictions and milestone results.
• Calculate scores and display leaderboard results.
• Maintain profile and bracket photographs you choose to upload.
• Authenticate users and maintain account security.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Baby Bracket.

Bracket Sharing and Privacy

Baby Bracket is designed around private groups. Information associated with a bracket may be visible to the organizer and other users who have been invited to and joined that bracket. You should only invite people with whom you are comfortable sharing the information contained in the bracket.

Service Providers

Baby Bracket uses third-party technology providers to operate the service. In particular, account authentication, database services, and file storage are provided using Supabase.

These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services. Their handling of information is also subject to their own privacy and security practices.

Advertising and Sale of Personal Information

Baby Bracket does not sell your personal information. Baby Bracket does not use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information stored through Baby Bracket. However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Baby Bracket, maintain your account, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security and integrity of the service. Information may be deleted when an account is deleted, subject to limited retention where required or permitted by law or necessary for legitimate operational purposes such as security, fraud prevention, or backup recovery.

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Baby Bracket account through the account controls provided in the app. Account deletion removes your account and associated personal information from the active service, subject to information that we may need to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate operational purposes.

Information Shared by Other Users

Some information associated with your participation in a bracket may also appear in records shared with other bracket members, such as predictions, scores, leaderboard results, or milestone-related activity. Deleting your account may not require deletion of information that must remain associated with a shared bracket in order to preserve the integrity of that bracket or the records of other participants, where permitted by applicable law.

Your Choices

Depending on the features available in the app, you may be able to:

• Update certain account or profile information.
• Choose whether to upload a profile or child photograph.
• Manage brackets that you organize.
• Leave brackets in which you participate, where that functionality is available.
• Delete your account.

Children’s Privacy

Baby Bracket is intended for adult users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts. If we learn that a child under 13 has directly provided personal information through an account without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

Legal Requirements and Protection of the Service

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or lawful government requests; enforce our terms or protect our legal rights; investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues; or protect the safety and security of Baby Bracket and its users.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Baby Bracket evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this policy. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or by another appropriate method.
